Grace Academy International Program Host Family Application

Grace Academy desires to have students who think and serve globally.  It is important in day of the “flat world syndrome” for our students to have a better understanding of others- where they live, their interest and activities and customs and practices of their culture.  Grace Academy seeks to offer an international program that is tailored to meet the needs of each exchange student.  We seek to have a program that is:

  • College Preparatory (Class of 2009 average SAT score was 1640)

  • Assistance for enrolling in college after graduation

International students are able to enjoy all the benefits of our traditional students.  There are a variety of activities and social events as well as extracurricular activities for each student to participate in. Activities for students include:

  • Sports

  • Performing Arts classes

Steps to be accepted into the Grace Academy International Program:

  • Apply to Grace Academy
    • Students must have a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
    • Students must be open to taking part in all school functions including Bible class and chapel
  • Submit student profile
  • Submit all immunization forms and medical documents
  • 1-20 Form submitted by school
  • Host Family is selected
  • Student arrives for semester or academic year
    • There is a international student orientation prior to the start of the school year
  • Please contact our program coordinator for tuition information.  Included in the tuition amount is all books, school trips, school retreats, uniforms and host family fees.  Students may opt to stay for the summer and take part in our summer academic camp at an extra cost per student.  International student scholarships are available.  If interested in attending Grace Academy or applying for a scholarship, please contact Brian Kelley, International Student Program Coordinator at kelleyb@graceacademyapps.org or call the school office at 301-733-2033 and leave a message.
